The recording week at The People's Radio in Levski

THE SESSION

Levski, October 2955

Seven days. Eleven people. No contracts. No predefined roles.

Across the Clouds began as a week at The People's Radio in Levski.

Some arrived with songs already taking shape. Others brought fragments, unfinished ideas, or almost nothing they would have called music.

There was no plan to make everyone sound alike.

Only a room, enough time, and the willingness to listen.

CHAPTER 01

The Room

The People's Radio was never a polished commercial studio.

Old machines, cables, glowing screens, patched equipment, cups, notes and food slowly took over the room as the days stretched later.

That mattered.

Nothing there demanded perfection. Songs could stay rough. Ideas could remain unfinished. A voice could appear once and be enough.

For one week, Levski became a place where people from very different lives stopped moving long enough to hear each other.

CHAPTER 02

What Changed During the Week

The songs began crossing into one another naturally.

Madi agreed to sing deliberately on Duct Tape Dream.
Kovah's voice helped Burning Thrust find its final form.
Nok reshaped The Line Below around SubLight Shift and Madi's vocal textures.

Other changes were smaller.

A rhythm shifted because somebody stayed in the room. A fragment found another voice. An idea that might have remained private became something shared.

By the end of the week, the songs still belonged to the people who had brought them.

They simply carried more traces of everyone else.

CHAPTER 03

Between Takes

Not everything worth remembering happened while recording.

The Scrapliners kept everyone fed with instant noodles, protein bars and at least one stew nobody could properly identify.

Madi, once comfortable enough to stop thinking about being shy, was often the one asking for one more take.

Juno and Vex spent part of the week joking that Nok occasionally needed to be “disarmed before the engine blew.”

Darren could change the mood of the room with a few notes and almost no words.

By then, nobody was really counting the hours anymore.

CHAPTER 04 // LISTENING DAY

The Final Listening Day

The final day began with eleven tracks.

The plan was simply to listen to them together. At some point, Darren started playing a warm guitar line. Someone joined him. Then someone else.

Nobody announced another song. Nobody decided the album needed an ending. Nok simply kept the recording running. When it stopped, they had a twelfth track.

Across the Clouds.

And suddenly the title seemed to describe the whole week. Different people, different lives, briefly crossing the same space before moving on again.

The twelfth track did not explain the other eleven. It gave them a way to belong together. And the album had its name.

EPILOGUE

After Levski

Nobody came to Levski to form a band.

Nobody left with a new identity they had been asked to accept.

They simply made something together.

Seven days became twelve tracks.

And another story worth keeping.
