Madi Roa

She never meant to sing.

Lorville, Hurston // Vocals / Atmospheric Pop

Madi Roa never planned to sing.

She worked the cargo decks of Lorville, handling schedules, clearances, manifests, and the quiet weight of things moving in and out. Music lived around the edges of her days, usually as melodies hummed under her breath while she worked.

“I never meant to sing. I just did it once, and they never let me stop.”

The Story

The Scrapliners first heard Madi almost by accident. A melody slipped out during work, another voice joined it, then another, and the whole thing dissolved into laughter.

Madi thought that would be the end of it.

Instead, she gradually became part of the wider crew life around them, handling logistics and field coordination without ever becoming one of the four official Scrapliners.

Then came Duct Tape Dream.

Jax asked her to sing. She agreed. What came through was clear, natural, and unforced: a voice that never needed to become larger than the moment.

At The People’s Radio, Madi slowly began allowing that voice to occupy more space. Nobody asked her to become louder. Nobody tried to turn her into someone else.

Her story is not about stepping into the spotlight. It is about learning that being quiet and having a voice are not opposites.
